Can someone tell me how to find the music that was written by Hoagy Carmichael for the Jordan River Revue (a yearly student production at I.U.) in either 1929 or 1930? The particular piece of music was titled "Can't Help Lovin'" & was sung by Miss Alice Thorn. She was a friend of Hoagy & his family & the song was written especially for her. The title was changed a few years later to "Thanksgiving". Miss Thorn is now Alice Thorn Finney, a feisty 90 year old actress that won the San Antonio Best Actress Award last year. She doesn't have a copy of the music. It would be wonderful if it could be found & a copy made for her. I do hope that someone at I.U. can help us.
