The Hilton Head Chorale, which I have the privilege of conducting, is presenting a program of twenty of Johnny's memorable songs on October 17, 18 and 19.

Program includes: Jeepers Creepers; That Old Black Magic; Autumn Leaves; Tangerine; The Glow Worm; And the Angels Sing; Days of Wine and Roses; Blues in the Night; You Grow Sweeter as the Years Go By; Charade; In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening; I'm an Old Cowhand; Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive; Summer Wind; Satin Doll; The Atchison, Topeka & the Santa Fe; You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby; Moon River; and Dream.

The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC. Telephone (843) 681-3696. The public is invited. There is no charge for admission.

The Chorale is an auditioned SATB ensemble of 24 voices. Accompaniment for this program will include piano, guitar/bass, and percussion.

We have had wonderful fun preparing the program, during which there has been a deepening of love and appreciation of Johnny Mercer and his marvelous talent, the products of which we and generations to come will be the fortunate recipients.
