I think to Johnny's most precious works belong the two fine songs "Moon
River" and "Days of Wine and Roses". And to my opinion Frank
Sinatra was the best interpreter of these great all-time-standards - excellent,
congenial, kindred interpretations of great music. The Voice sang and sings the
sweetest songs I ever heard. Now Frankie and Johnny sing together in a heavenly
choir. "And the Angels sing..."

Thursday last week I was so happy when President Clinton encouraged the
German people by his address at Tempelhof Airfield in Berlin. But one day later
I felt so sad, because Frank Sinatra died. Remember Frankie was one of Johnny's
best interpreters and a true member of Capitol Label. I had the honour to listen
to his famous concert in front of Cologne Cathedral in 1993. I will never forget
this great singer and entertainer. The Voice might have been low the last years,
but his songs will never grow mute! Frankie - It was a very good year!

I am resubmitting this posting by request...I am a
singer in a local community chorus, and am scheduled
to sing "One For My Baby" in an upcoming show. Need to
locate the Nelson Riddle arrangement of this song, used
in Sinatra's 1957 rendition (had piano, strings and
sax). Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
The only thing I,ve been able to find in sheet music
is nowhere close to the Sinatra version, and is written
a third higher...
Thanks!

I used to have a cassette tape and the title was:
"Frank Sinatra Sings Mercer"
My car tape deck ate it one day and I haven't been able
to locate it since! I bought if for $1.00 in a discount
bin and I think it might have been one of those limited
edition (copies)!!!
Oh, someone out there please tell me where I can locate
a CD or cassette by this title!!!
Once you listen to it, you'd think you died and went to Heaven!
This only applies to fans of BOTH Sinatra and Mercer.
Appreciate any info that anyone can supply me.
