I wrote several months ago asking for any information about a
re-release of this song, possibly called "I Don't Like
Men", with Mercer singing in a silly "Latin" accent. I
just want a better copy than the 78 I'm working from now to play
on my radio program.
Anyone know this one? I also want a better copy of "Movie
Tonight", with Mercer and the Pied Pipers.

Question:
Did Johnny Mercer write the lyric, "Tin can at my fett, think
I"ll kick it down the street, anyway to treat a friend ? "
If so does anyone know the name of the song?

Hello! I was looking at the Johnny Mercer site,
and found a curious looking song title, "Song lyric"... well, that was
your message.
Perhaps you have already found the song in question? I think it must be
Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Al Dubin/Harry Warren) from 1933.
I have got the lyrics on a Marianne Faithfull
record Strange Weather. She also sings the song on her 1996 live CD 20th Century
Blues.
I saw her do the song hear in Helsinki that year also. E-mail me if you still
haven´t found the lyrics. Bye for now.

: A search engine brought me here, probably erroneously. (Although this is quite
interesting.)
: I was trying to find the lyrics to a song which is
: named (or may contain the line) "Along the Street of Broken Dreams"
written in the 1920's or 1930's,
: possibly by Noel Coward. Any clues?
