Several years ago, the Indiana Historical Society and the Smithsonian Institute out out a three-cassette collection of Hoagy Carmichael songs. It contains his songs being performed by Ella Fitzgerald, Artie Shaw, Bing Crosby, Betty Hutton and many, many others. Might it be possiblew to do something similar for Johnny Mercer? Surely, there's a market for such a collection. It would be a real tribute to a fine composer. Can someone respond to this suggestion? George A. Test
