RECORDINGS CommentsPosted by Bill Hickok on June 24, 1998 at 13:45:17: Hey:Now I'm Driving and listening to Mr. M's HUCKLEBERRY CD,"your lips were like a red and ruby chalice, warmer than a summer night...",thinking how far back you can go with his music, as I have, I wondered if there were Mercerites still in the world,as am I ...So I typed in "Johnny Mercer" and quicker than I could say zippity doo-dah there's this page after page of comments and favorites and good stuff ! Good on that "Midnight-Evil" book that keeps the spirit alive. One thing: Mr. M has a vocal style and quality that was a great driver for some of his biggest hits ...Some one wrote that Johnny was an unsung hero. Wait a minute! Who DIDN'T" sing him. ! From: dutch1@savannahga.net
CommentsLooking for person who sells Johnny Mercer recordings that were never issued. I've been told he is located in Pembroke Pines, Florida & that he does business under the name "Jazz Hour Recordings" but I'm not able to locate him thru 411, internet searches, etc. Anyone know where I can find this man?
